Rod Taylor, Founding Partner
Rod Taylor established Taylor & Company in 1984 to offer clients international management consulting and executive recruiting services. Originally, Taylor provided consulting services to financial institutions seeking access to international capital markets. Today, Taylor ranks among the leading executive search firms in the United States specialized in banking.
Prior to forming Taylor & Company, Taylor served as the Vice-Chairman of Union Planters National Bank in Memphis, Tennessee from 1982 through 1985. As the senior executive responsible for strategic planning, he developed new sales and trading relationships for the Union Planters Investment Banking Group in Europe and Asia. He also managed investor relations, international trade finance, and correspondent banking.
In 1979, Taylor joined the International Strategy Group of A.T. Kearney Management Consultants in Brussels, Belgium. During his tenure at Kearney, Taylor’s practice focused on financial services and energy related industries. His specializations included bank holding company expansion strategy, acquisition target analysis, and export operations.
In 1975, prior to joining Kearney, Taylor was appointed by the Governor of Mississippi as Managing Director of the State of Mississippi's European office in Brussels, Belgium. As Mississippi’s official emissary to foreign governments, he organized and led trade/investment missions to Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Mississippi and an International MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He speaks French fluently, has a working knowledge of Spanish and German, and has also studied Arabic, Japanese, and a variety of other languages.
Taylor was a founding member of the United States Library of Congress James Madison Council and Thunderbird School of Global Management President's Council. He also founded and serves as a member of the University of Mississippi’s advisory board for the schools of Banking & Finance and Political Science and is on the Board of Directors for the University of Mississippi’s Alumni Association.

Ken Moore, Senior Partner (Retired)
Ken Moore joined Taylor & Company in 1999 to expand the firm’s recruiting and consulting capabilities. Before joining Taylor & Company, Mr. Moore was an Executive Vice President with Transamerica Small Business Capital, specifically responsible for marketing and sales of government guaranteed loan products. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Vine Street Financial Services, a guaranteed lending affiliate of Cardinal Bancshares in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mr. Moore was the Deputy Regional Manager for Standard Chartered Bank responsible for trade finance and middle market commercial lending in the Southeastern United States. He joined Standard Chartered after serving as president and Chief Executive Officer of Unitrade Corporation, an export-trading company affiliated with Union Planters Corporation in Memphis, Tennessee. Under Mr. Moore’s direction, Unitrade became one of the nation’s highest performing export-trading companies affiliated with bank holding companies under the provisions of the Export Trading Company Act of 1979.
Mr. Moore began his career with C&S Bank of Atlanta, Georgia. During his tenure with C&S, Mr. Moore served as President of the New Orleans Edge Act Bank. He was responsible for managing an organization that provided international trade finance and private banking services to customers doing business throughout Latin America.
Mr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Alabama. He is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
In 2010, Mr. Moore retired from Taylor & Company; however, he remains an active consultant to the firm.

Rodney Taylor, Partner
As a member of Taylor & Company’s recruiting team, Rodney is responsible for leading searches in Commercial and Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Government Relations. He also serves as the firm’s Financial Manager.
Rodney joined Taylor in July of 2010 after almost three years with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, he worked with the Chamber’s Chief of Staff on issues related to financial regulatory reform, with specific focus on the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
Rodney holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Music from the University of Georgia, and he has completed graduate courses in Business Marketing and Accounting at Georgetown University.
